While not originally developed for emergency field repairs on packrafts, this has enabled lots of river trips to continue when the paddler would likely have had to walk out without it. While it can definitely get you out of a pinch, it's visually unappealing and the residue is hard to get off so don't use it unless you have to. That said, there's nothing else like it for fixing tears of 3"+ in the field: it is quick, effective and not much extra weight in your pack. Available in a small roll and a large roll.
